About Me
Experience I Bring

“To be met, matched, felt, seen..." Swimming rivers taught me that resistance is futile – helped me surrender to the force of the currents, to go with the flow – and inspired this poem, which was published in the NC Bards’ Anthology 2024. My job as a coach is to meet YOU – help you see all that you are – to discover your flow within. ~ Marina
Facets
My coaching approach is grounded in four interconnected areas of experience -
facets that inform everything I do.
Business Acumen
With 25 years as an entrepreneur and consultant working with mission-driven organizations like the Democracy Fund and World Resources Institute, I bring a systems approach to help clients be their best.
Call to Service
From teaching English in Brazil to serving two years in the Peace Corps in Mexico, I learned that meaningful change begins with humility, deep listening, and a commitment to something BIGGER than me.
Embodied Wisdom
A certified yoga instructor, athlete and body intuitive, I bring movement into my work – opening the space for insight.
Creative Courage
As a published writer, photographer, and three-time DC Arts & Humanities Fellow, I have had my share of rejection. I help others face down blockages and go deeper to discover truths that transform – to live a life aligned with their deepest values.
Journey
All of my work—coaching, workshops, writing, speaking—integrates body and breath as the path to transformation. I help you access your full power viscerally, not just intellectually.

Why? Because I spent much of my life separated from my body. As a child of trauma, that split was protection. As an adult, it became depletion and dis-ease. I was athletic—swimming, cross-country running, triathlons – but I was USING my body, not caring for her – not tapping into her true power.

At 57, severe scoliosis forced me to embrace and learn from my body. Through a four-year solo nomad cross-country journey, I discovered that true power lives here—in the knowing that comes when we're fully present. In the lessons that come through new adventures – being out in the world and going inward.

Now I guide others on this path – helping you discover the adventurer within.
